CHICKEN CURRY IN KORMA STYLE!!
A rustic and authentic quick Indian one-pot packed with tonnes of hot Asian spices and fragrant coriander is here....
INGREDIENTS FOR CHICKEN CURRY:
- Chicken 800gm
- Onion 4-5 med
- Tomato 1 med
- Curd 1/2 cup
- Garlic and ginger paste 2 Tsp
- Jeera powder
- Turmeric powder
- salt to taste
- Pepper
- Curry powder
- Garam masala powder
- Coriander leaves
- whole garam masala (Cinnamon, Javetri, Starpunj, Green cardamom, black cardamom, cloves, bay leaves, dry red chilli)
- Mustard paste
- Lemon juice
MARINATION:
- Add chicken to a pot
- then add mustard paste to the chicken
- add little pepper powder
- add lemon juice, salt and olive oil
- leave the marinate for 30-45 min
GRAVY:
- Heat a pan and add butter and olive oil
- add roughly chopped onion and saute till golden brown
- later add tomato and little bit of salt( because marinate also contains salt)
- now add this mixture of onion and tomato to mixer grinder and add little curd and grind it and make it into a paste
- heat a deep frying pan and add olive oil and add whole garam masala
- add cumin seed and garlic cloves
- add chicken and all the powder masala mentioned above and saute it
- add cord and onion tomato paste
- put the pan on low flame and cover it for 30 min
- after 30 mins add powder garam masala
- turn off the flame if chicken starts seperating from the bone
- garnish with cream and coriander
