goBhI paRaTha!!!

"Gobhi" in english means "cauliflower"......so today i have got a dish which is popular in the Indian homes.. This dish is of Gobhi paratha which means i am gonna stuff a filling of cauliflower into the dough and make a paratha out of it!!This time i have made this and have give step by step pictures of each.

Cauliflower as we know is a great source of vitamin c,vitamin k,vitamin B1,vitamin B2,vitamin B6 etc etc.


INGREDIENTS:-
                               (FOR DOUGH):

  • Wheat Flour [2 Cups]
  • Water [to add in Flour to make dough]
                                (FOR FILLING)

  • Cauliflower [1 Medium chopped into tiny pieces]
  • Broccoli [1 Small piece chopped into tiny pieces]
  • Onion [1 medium chopped]
  • Cumin Seeds [1/2 Tea spoon]
  • Green chilli [2-3 Chopped into small pieces]
  • Turmeric Powder [1/2 Tea spoon]
  • Ginger Garlic paste [1/2 Tea spoon]
  • Chilli Flakes [1/2 Tea spoon]
  • Oil [Any type of oil you prefer for frying]
  • Garam Masala [1/2 Tea spoon]
  • Salt [as per taste]
  • Butter or ghee for paratha.
You can chilli,chilli powder etc as per your wish....


METHOD:-

  1.  Heat the pan and add oil to it and then slowly add cumin seeds and let them crackle then add chopped onion in it and fry until golden brown and then add green chilli and saute till it changes colour then add grated cauliflower and broccoli and then add the rest of the seasonings slowly in to the pan and fry the mix. After frying the mix keep it into a bowl and let it come to room temperature.
  2. Now take the wheat flour and add water to it and mix well to obtain a soft dough.
  3. Now take a small piece of dough and flatten it then add about 1 table spoon of filling in it and make a ball.then roll it into thin sheets. Do not panic if your rolled sheets are breaking out from the corners.
  4. Next, Heat the tava and add Ghee or Butter in it and roast the sheets until golden brown on both sides to obtain a paratha.
Now its time to make the sider in which we are going to dip the paratha and eat!

INGREDIENTS:-

  • Coriander Leaves [1 Bunch]
  • Green Chilli [2 Number]
  • Garlic [2 Number]
  • Lemon [1 Number]
  • Salt [as per taste]
  • Mustard Oil [1 Tea spoon]
METHOD:-

  1. Firstly,heat a pan and roast the green chilli and garlic on it and then put it in a bowl and then add the rest ingredients: lemon juice,salt,coriander leaves and the roasted chilli's and garlic.
  2. Now put all of them into a mixer/grinder and make a smooth paste and then put it in a small bowl and add the drops of Mustard oil in it!!
Enjoy this dish with the chutney.....
