FISH CURRY LOCAL STYLE!!

Fish is a rich source of protein, vitamins and minerals. It is also essential for healthy functioning of the body. OMEGA- 3 fatty acid are heart friendly and can make improvement in brain development and reproduction,  and it is very good for skin and hair.


















INGREDIENTS FOR FISH CURRY:


MARINATION:

  • Fish- 500 gm
  • garlic paste- 1 tsp
  •  dry red chilli paste - 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder
  • salt
  • vinegar

FOR GRAVY:

  • Mustard seed- 2 tablespoon
  • bay leaf- 2
  • pepper- 1 tsp
  • coriander seeds- 2 tsp
  • dry red chilli- 4
  • tomato- 1 med
  • coriander leaves
  • mustard oil
  • fenugreek seeds
  • salt
  • turmeric powder
  • Garlic- 6-7 cloves


PROCEDURE FOR MARINATION:
  • mix garlic paste, red chilli paste, salt (acc. to taste), turmeric powder, 2 drop vineger( to avoid the smell) and leave the fish in the marinate
  • leave fish for 5- 10 mins
  • heat a tava and add 2-3 tablespoon oil to shallow fry the fish
  • leave the fried fish aside 


PROCEDURE FOR GRAVY:

  • grind mustard seed, pepper, coriander seeds, bay leaf, dry red chilli, garlic, and tomato and make a paste
  • heat a kadhai and add mustard oil 2-3 tablespoon
  • add fenugreek seeds
  • then add the paste 
  • saute the paste and wait till it starts leaving oil
  • now add turmeric powder and salt and again saute it
  • now add 1 cup water for gravy
  • let it boil and after 1 boil
  • add fried fish and turn off the flame after 1-2 min
  • now add coriander leaves on top
  • and serve hot


CAN  BE SERVED WITH STEAMED RICE......
