Mouth watering PUNJABI SAMOSA!!

Samosa is the best timepass snack,The triangular shape of the samosa is interesting to look at and the chatpata taste of samosa is liked by all.
















INGREDIENTS FOR PUNJABI SAMOSA:


FOR OUTER COVER

  • Maida- 1cup
  • oil 2 Tsp
  • salt (according to the taste)
  • water
FOR FILLING:

  • Green peas- 1/2 cup
  • Green chilli- 2
  • khova-1/4 cup
  • panner- 1/4 cup
  • chat masala- 1 Tsp
  • pepper powder-1 Tsp
  • roasted jeera powder-1 Tsp
  • chopped cashew nut- 2 Tsp
  • rasin-2 Tsp
  • chopped coriander- 2 Tsp
  • dry anardana powder- 1/2 Tsp
  • boiled potato- 2 med
  • coriander seeds- 1 tsp
  • red chilli- 2
  • lemon juice- 1Tsp


PROCEDURE:

  • Take maida in a bowl and add salt and knead it using water and oil
  • the dough should be medium hard and not very hard
  • cover the dough using wet muslin cloth and let it rest for 30 mins
  • roast coriander seeds , jeera seeds, red chilli and grind it into powder 
  • now heat a pan and add oil to it
  • then add jeera seeds, green chillies, green peas, cashew nut, rasin, khova panner and saute it for 5 min 
  • then add salt, turmeric powder, dry anardana powder and the roasted masala mix
  • add chat masala , pepper powder, boiled and mashed potatoes, green coriander, lemon juice
  •  mix and turn off the flame and leave the mix to cool.
  • now make small pocket of the maida dough and add the filling and close the pocket using oil
  • now heat the kadhai and add oil enough to fry the samosa
  • when the oil is hot start adding the samosa packets into the oil at med flame
  • fry till golden brown and serve it hot
enjoy your samosa with ketchup or coriander chutney......
