VEGETARIAN FISH CURRY!!

Besan or gram flour is low in Saturated fat, and  has very low cholesterol and sodium content. It is also a good source of dietary fibers, magnesium and copper. It is healthy, tasty and easy to make.













INGREDIENTS:

FOR CHILLA

  • Besan- 200 gm
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
  • garlic paste- 1/2 tsp


FOR GRAVY

  • mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  • coriander seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • fenugreek seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • pepper- 1/2 tsp
  • bay leaves- 1
  • green chilli- 2
  • tomato- 1 med
  • salt
  • turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
  • mustard oil- 2 tsp

METHOD FOR CHILLA

  • mix besan, salt, chilli powder, garlic paste and water
  • make a smooth paste (without lumps)
  • now heat a nonstick tava
  • sprinkle little oil and add 1 Tablespoon batter
  • flatten it like dosa and cook from both sides and roll it
  • similarly make 3-4 besan roll( chilla)
METHOD FOR GRAVY

  • now grind mustard seed, coriander seed, fenugreek seed, pepper seeds, bay leaf, green chilli, and tomato and make a paste
  • now heat a kadhai and add mustard oil
  • now add the paste and saute it till it starts leaving oil
  • now add water to make a thick gravy and wait till the first boil
  • after that add chilla or besan roll to the gravy and turn off the flame
  • garnish it with coriander leaves
  • serve hot with rice or chapati


It is called vegetarian fish curry because it uses the same masala as in a fish curry and it can be an alternative dish for the vegetarians.
