ALOO MATAR KI SABJI :)

It is an authentic North  Indian dish with load of Asian masala. It is easy to make and it is healthy also because it contain green peas.


















INGREDIENTS:

  • boiled potato - 3 med
  • green peas- 1/2 cup
  • mashed green pea - 1/2 cup ( not boiled)
  • sliced onion - 2 med
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  •  chopped tomato - 1 med
  • cumin seed - 1 tsp
  • green chilli - 1
  • bay leaves - 1 
  • coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • chilli powder - 1/2 tsp ( or acc.  to taste)
  • garam masala - 1 tsp
  • mustard oil 
METHOD:
  • heat a kadhai and add little mustard oil
  • add cumin seed, bay leaf and green chilli and let it crackle
  • then add chopped onion and saute till transparent
  • now add tomato and saute till it becomes soft 
  • now add turmeric powder and salt
  • now add cumin powder, coriander powder and chilli  powder and saute the mix
  • then add mashed green peas and cook till it starts leaving oil
  • then add boiled potato and green peas and fry for 2-3 min the add water
  • cover it and cook for 10 min
  • then after 10 min add garam masala and cook for 2 min then turn off the flame
  • serve it hot with steamed rice
